Rewards Scheme — Terms and Conditions (Tiered)
For use by stores operating a tier-based Rewards Scheme.
Membership
1. These terms and conditions, in conjunction with the Privacy Policy, govern your membership of our Rewards Scheme. They also set out the terms of the contract between us (the supplier) and you (the customer). Please read them carefully and keep hold of a copy for future reference. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions or your use of the Rewards Scheme, then please call us.
2. Only one membership per person/email address is permitted.
3. Membership of the Rewards Scheme is personal to you. You may not share or transfer your points, your tier status or your Rewards Account.
4. We will write to you from time to time by email at the addresses you have given to us. Any such communication will be in relation to the Rewards Scheme or otherwise in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Your account will remain active if you use the Rewards Scheme within the inactivity period set out in the Rewards section on our website or app. If you fail to use the Rewards Scheme within this period your points balance will be forfeited. Checking the balance on your Rewards Account will not constitute use.
6. You are automatically enrolled in our Rewards Scheme by placing an online or app order.
7. To protect the points on your Rewards Account from loss or theft, it is important that you do not share your login details for your account with anyone.
Earning points
8. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, a qualifying purchase or qualifying order is an order that is completed and paid for in full, and that has not been cancelled or refunded. Additional conditions, including any minimum order value required for an order to qualify towards tier progression, may apply and are set out in the Rewards section on our website or app.
9. You will receive points for every £1 that is spent on eligible products, at the rate published in the Rewards section on our website or app. Points are awarded after any relevant discounts or promotions have been deducted from your purchase. See the Rewards section for further details.
10. From time to time, we may run special promotions and award additional points. We reserve the right to limit how many promotional points can be awarded to any one account.
11. We may from time to time add bonus points for a set period of time or on specific products. Details of these can be found in the Rewards section on our website or app, and they will apply only for the stated time period or in respect of the specific products only. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw these bonus points at any time.
12. We may offer a welcome bonus for first-time users. This bonus applies only to a new account and to the first order placed on that account. Users who already hold an account and are participating in the Rewards Scheme are not eligible to receive welcome bonus points, even if they did not benefit from such an offer at the time they signed up.
13. We reserve the right to limit the total number of points that can be earned by any one account over a given period.
14. If an order on which points were earned is cancelled, or a product is returned or refunded, the corresponding points will be deducted from your Rewards Account. If an order on which points were redeemed is cancelled or refunded, the redeemed points will be credited back to your Rewards Account.
15. Your points balance may not be updated immediately when you make a qualifying purchase. It may take a short period of time before the points show in your account and you are able to redeem them.
16. We may withhold points or delay crediting them where we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these terms and conditions.
Tier-based rewards
17. Our tier-based Rewards Scheme is detailed in the Rewards section on our website or app.
18. You will be automatically assigned to the lowest tier following your first qualifying order.
19. To progress through the tiers you must place qualifying orders, as set out in the Rewards section on our website or app.
20. You will progress upwards through the tiers automatically as you place further qualifying orders, and you will remain in your current tier for a set period of time as detailed in the Rewards section on our website or app. If, after this period, you have not placed sufficient qualifying orders to maintain your current tier, you will be moved down to the relevant tier for your level of activity.
21. Tier-specific benefits — such as bonus points rates, free delivery, priority ordering or any other perks set out in the Rewards section on our website or app — apply only while you remain in the qualifying tier. If you move down a tier, the benefits of the higher tier no longer apply from the point of the change.
22. We reserve the right to amend or update the benefits of each tier at any time without prior notification.
Redeeming points
23. Points cannot be earned against a purchase when that purchase is made with redeemed points.
24. We reserve the right to vary the current earn and redemption rates at any time. If we decide to vary these rates then we will seek to let you know in reasonable time by displaying notices on our website or app, or by email.
25. Points may only be redeemed against qualifying purchases. Points may not be exchanged for cash and have no cash value.
26. You must have a minimum number of points in your Rewards Account to redeem any points and points for money off vouchers. See the Rewards section on our website or app for details.
27. There may be a maximum value or percentage of points that can be redeemed against any single order, and a minimum order value that must remain after points have been applied. Full details can be found in the Rewards section on our website or app.
28. Points may be redeemed in the same order as a voucher or other promotion, subject to the redemption limits set out above. Points are applied after any voucher or promotional discount has been deducted.
29. In addition to money off vouchers, we may offer the ability to redeem your reward points for a free item. We reserve the right to amend or update product-based rewards at any time without prior notification. Details of the product-based rewards available can be seen in the Rewards section on our website or app and can be applied to your order in the basket.
30. We may deduct points or adjust your points balance from time to time in the event that points have been credited or debited in error, or where we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity or a breach of these terms and conditions.
Data protection and privacy
31. When you have registered your account on our website or app, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, including your name, address and contact details. We are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. All reasonable steps are taken to ensure that your personal data is kept secure against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or destruction. The Privacy Policy will apply whenever you provide us with personal information. Except as required by law or in accordance with these terms and conditions, your information will not be passed to any other persons without your permission.
General
32. You are responsible for the security of your account and all reward points issued. We are not able to credit points which have been spent, whether or not by an unauthorised person.
33. In the event of loss, theft, fraud or other unauthorised use of your Rewards Account, you should immediately change the password on your account.
34. We may close an account which has not been used within the inactivity period set out in the Rewards section on our website or app.
35. We may also immediately suspend or terminate your membership and/or close your account if:
we reasonably believe that you have acted in a manner not permitted by these terms and conditions; or
you engage in (or we reasonably suspect you of engaging in) any theft from, or misconduct in connection with, us; or
you supply false or misleading information to us, or we discover that you are not eligible to be a member of the Rewards Scheme; or
for any other reason we see fit.
36. You can also close your account at any time by deleting your account from our website or app. If an account is closed for any reason, all rights to redeem the points from that account, together with any tier status, are lost.
37. We can cancel, withdraw or alter the Rewards Scheme, including these terms and conditions, at any time.
38. We shall not be liable for any default resulting directly or indirectly from any cause beyond our control, including but not limited to, failure of network services and failure of data processing systems. To the extent permitted by law, all conditions or warranties implied by law, statute or otherwise are expressly excluded.
